When it's time to put the warmth of summer and autumn's bright leaves behind us, the motel and most cottages hibernate for the winter.

However, for guests anticipating winter sports and those looking for a quiet cottage in the woods and the smell of a crackling fire, our winter cottages have everything you need.

Surrounded by a quieting blanket of snow, our winter cottages offer comfort, warmth, and all our usual amenities.

Our two large Adirondack great camp styled cottages offer a luxurious spot to enjoy views of the frozen lake.

As with all seasons, we provide fresh linens and towels. Kitchens are well stocked with utensils, cookware, plates, glassware, and more. Wifi service reaches every building, and we exchange our Dish Network options for Rokus in every cottage so that TVs still offer access to a broad selection of channels. Most winter cottages have a fireplace or wood stove (wood may be purchased locally), rounding out the winter ambiance and warming you up at the end of your day.

Explore Locally

The perfect winter stay at Motel Long Lake & Cottages may mean a brisk walk around the grounds and relaxing in front of a fireplace while watching the snow fall.

However, there are also many activities available in Long Lake. In addition to exploring our walkable town, ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities await. Long Lake is a popular destination for snowmobiling and a great home base for exploring the extensive trail system in the Adirondacks.

Out in the Adirondacks

Whether by car or snowmobile, there is a vast area to explore outside of Long Lake. From our central location, it's a short trip to many surrounding villages and many of northern New York's ski resorts are a short drive from here.
