Our boat rentals on Long Lake are open to both guests and the public, with easy launch and return from our private dock at Motel Long Lake & Cottages. Whether you’re cruising with friends, casting a line, or exploring quiet coves, a day on the lake is one of the best ways to experience this part of the Adirondack Park.
Our boats include a comfortable Sylvan Mirage Pontoon Boat for groups and families and our 12-foot Alumacraft fishing boat for peaceful solo or two-person adventures. Add tubing or wakeboarding gear for an extra thrill, or simply enjoy a calm day on the water surrounded by mountain views.
With calm waters, light boat traffic, and plenty of open shoreline, Long Lake is a relaxed, scenic place to explore, without the congestion of other Adirondack destinations. Parking is easy, rentals are convenient, and our team is right here to help you get started.

Our boat rentals are open to guests and the public. Boats are not restricted to registered guests and provide a great chance to visit our property even if you are not staying with us.
Boat use is restricted to Long Lake with launch and return from our dock.

Sylvan Mirage Pontoon Boat
Spacious and comfortable, our Sylvan Mirage Pontoon Boat is ideal for families and small groups looking to spend a relaxed day on the water. With seating for up to 11 passengers and a powerful 115HP Yamaha motor, it’s built for cruising, swimming stops, and towing a tube or wakeboard.
The boat includes a Bimini top for shade, Bluetooth audio, and an extended deck - everything you need for a fun, easy day exploring Long Lake.

Alumacraft 12’ Fishing Boat
Compact, quiet, and perfect for anglers, our 12-foot Alumacraft jon boat features a 15HP motor, trolling motor, Garmin fish finder, and flat-bottom design for reaching the lake’s calm, shallow areas. It’s built for two passengers and is ideal for early-morning or sunset fishing trips when the lake is at its most peaceful.

General Rental Information

Reservations are taken in whole day periods. The boat launches from our dock and must stay on the waters of Long Lake. Removing the boat from the lake by any means as well as travel on the incoming and outgoing rivers is prohibited. The boat must be returned to dock by 6pm.

Anyone operating the boat must be 21 or older and possess a valid driver’s license. Boat renters do not require a NYS Boaters Safety Course.

Life jackets are provided on the boat. Studies show if you choose to wear a life jacket and you fall overboard, it increases your chance of survival. We recommend everyone wear a life jacket. Life jackets must be worn by children under 12 and anyone being towed (wakeboarding, water skiing, tubing, etc.)

No wake in the vicinity of docks, anchored boats, or paddlers. Renter is responsible for any damage caused by the boat's wake.

Yield right of way to seaplanes.

New York law prohibits operating any vessel on NYS waters while impaired or intoxicated by alcohol or drugs.

Be aware that cell phone service is limited on the lake and a signal may not be available in some areas.

Renter is responsible for replacing the gas they use. We do not provide gas refills during the time of rental. Gasoline is available on the water at the marina or for your convenience we will refill the the boat at a rate equal to the marina gas rate plus 15%.

All reservations require payment in full at the time the reservation is made and a credit card must be left on file. Renter is responsible for any damage to the boat. Renter is responsible for returning the boat clean. Cleaning fees start at $50.

Refunds will not be given due to poor weather. In order to receive a refund, cancellations must be made no less than fourteen (14) days ahead of time. In case of cancellation less than fourteen days ahead of time, refunds will be given if the boat is able to be rented for the reserved dates. Cancellations of payments made by credit card are subject to an 8% processing fee.
