You will find plenty to do on the grounds of Motel Long Lake & Cottages and on the lake by the property. The beach is a comfortable place to relax or go for a swim. The gazebo has a ping-pong table and billiards table. The volleyball field just behind the gazebo is ready for you to gather your friends and family and start a game. A gravel footpath circles the property and makes for a wonderful light stroll. There is also a play area across from the office for your little ones. There are fishing opportunities from the docks and the shore.

within the blue line

The "blue line" refers to the border of the 6 million acre Adirondack Park--the largest area of publicly protected land in the lower 48 states. Long Lake is situated near its center, a quiet escape from the larger, more heavily trafficked towns. From here, a vast area of natural beauty extends outward in every direction, spotted with charming towns and villages. Motel Long Lake & Cottages is the perfect location to use as your home base while you explore the Adirondacks. There are plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing, sight seeing, hiking, and paddling. Many towns host rustic fairs, antique shows, and festivals. You can even find water parks, rock climbing, rafting, and horseback riding opportunities.
