EXPLORE THE AdirondackS From Long Lake

An extended stay in Long Lake puts you in the geographic heart of the Adirondack Park, making it the ideal home base for exploring all six million acres. From here, most major destinations are within a short, scenic drive - under an hour and a half to nearly everywhere in the Park. The High Peaks trailheads are just over an hour away, and you can reach The Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake in 15 minutes or The Wild Center in Tupper Lake in about 30.

Closer to home, you’ll find countless ways to enjoy the outdoors in every season. Local trails are open year-round for walking or hiking, and when conditions allow, the surrounding snowmobile routes and frozen lakes invite a bit of winter adventure. On milder days, paddlers can still explore the connected waterways by canoe or kayak, and anglers can take advantage of the excellent fishing throughout the year - including ice fishing when the lake freezes. Hunters and outdoor enthusiasts alike will find that each season brings its own kind of quiet beauty and a deeper connection to the landscape that surrounds Long Lake.

For those who enjoy small-town charm, Long Lake itself and the surrounding communities are rich with antique shops, craft fairs, and local gatherings throughout the year. Whether you’re here for a month of work, a season of quiet, or a winter adventure, everything that makes the Adirondacks special is within easy reach from Motel Long Lake & Cottages.
